Who We Are
The Aurora Integrated Oncology Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization revolutionizing cancer care in Alaska. The Foundation’s network includes Anchorage Radiation Oncology Center, Mat-Su Valley Cancer Care, Peninsula Radiation Oncology Center and Southeast Radiation Oncology Center and focuses on accessible, advanced treatment and comprehensive support for patients and families.
With a commitment to patient-centered care, AIOF emphasizes reinvestment in community health initiatives and state-of-the-art services, operating under a sustainable model that covers all residents of Alaska, regardless of their insurance status.

Foundation Staff
Sherrie Wilson Hinshaw, MS
President & CEO
Sherrie Hinshaw is the president and CEO of Aurora Integrated Oncology Foundation, leading the organization since its inception. She is responsible for leading strategic, operational, and development efforts.
A community-minded professional, Sherrie has served in significant roles including president and CEO of Volunteers of America Alaska, operations and development manager at Alaska Housing Finance Corporation, roles in Alaska’s Department of Health and Social Services and the Alaska Health Alliance, focusing on services for at-risk youth, affordable housing, and health care improvement.
Committed to community service, she serves on the board of Alaskans for Sustainable Healthcare Costs and the Department of Health and Social Services Medical Care Advisory Committee, among others. Sherrie holds a Master of Science degree in clinical psychology, as well as Bachelor degrees in accounting, marketing, management, and psychology, and is a current Certified Management Accountant (CMA). A lifelong Alaskan, Sherrie is an avid camper and fat tire biking enthusiast. She lives in Anchorage with her husband and three children.
Jess Gutzwiler
Dir of Marketing & Comm. Relations
Jess Gutzwiler brings a wealth of experience in cancer care and community engagement to her role at the Foundation, driving its mission throughout Alaska. Her background includes positions at the American Cancer Society and Advanced Oncology Associates, leading to her current role in cultivating community partnerships and support.
As an active member and leader within the Soldotna Rotary Club, and a contributor to the Central Peninsula Foundation Board, Jess is committed to community service and health care improvement.
Jess, originally from eastern South Dakota, now fully embraces the Alaska lifestyle, enjoying outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, cross-country skiing and hiking. She lives in Clam Gulch with her spoiled micro-mini pig, Spank.
Scott French
CFO
Scott French serves as the Chief Financial Officer of AIOF, overseeing all financial operations and reporting. French has over 20 years of financial experience in various aspects of the healthcare industry and has experience in financial analytics and reporting, strategy, growth, and board development. Most recently, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Population Health division of Amita Health. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Augustana College, a Master of Business Administration degree from Olivet Nazarene University, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Scott resides in Chicago with his family and is an endurance athlete, regularly competing in marathons and Iron Man events.
